G16 CODE FOR CNC MILLING
STUDY ABOUT G16 CODE FOR CNC MILLING WITH FANUC CONTROLLER
G16 CODE IS USED TO CONVERT ALL THE PROGRAM DIMENSION IN THE POLAR MODE. THE POLAR MODE MEANS ALL THE DIMENSIONS WILL BE DRAWN IN CIRCULAR LINE OR IN A CIRCULAR PATH.
THERE ARE 2 TYPES OF MODE:-
1. CARTESIAN MODE.
2 POLAR MODE.
THIS CODE IS NOT THE BASIC FUNCTION OF THE CNC MILLING. IT IS ONLY USED WHEN WE HAVE TO DRAW THE PROGRAM PATH IN THE POLAR MODE. THIS CODE WILL BE WRITTEN ABOVE THAT BLOCK. WHEN WE WRITE THE G16 CODE ABOVE ANY BLOCK THE ALL DIMENSIONS ARE CONVERTED INTO THE POLAR MODE.

IN THIS CODE AFTER G16 CODE ALL THE DIMENSIONS OF 'X' AND 'Y' IS CONVERT INTO POLAR MODE. NOW THE X IS REPRESENT THE RADIUS OF THE CIRCLE AND THE Y IS NOW REPRESENT THE ANGLE BETWEEN HOLES.
