Solidworks VS Catia V5

There is always a debate between Solidworks and Catia V5 is that who the best between them is? in my perspective, making a comparison between this software is not appropriate. Because in their field they are both doing a great job. Yeah...!!! Because this software is manufactured by DASSAULT SYSTEMS. Dassault systems are the reason behind these two types of software we had..!! But it’s not a bad thing, because these two software’s have our range of use and our separate user. These both software Solidworks and CATIA V5 are best in our field. So, first of all, let’s see what are the fields of use for both software SOLIDWORKS and CATIA V5:-

Solidworks 

SOLIDWORKS:-

1. This software is manufactured by Dassault systems.
2. This software can handle Part Designing better than any other software. Any other software means any software which we have AutoCAD, CREO, CATIA V5 etc.
3. The User-interface, which is the Wow..!!! I like it so much. The user-interface is so user-friendly. Everything is in front of you. Need any help with any issue just search it and it will help you a lot.
4. This software is used by the mechanical department. There is lots of demand in small scale industries. 
5. The CNC Codes can be generated by the external software.
6. Because of the cheap price, it’s easy to adopt by any small industries, institutions etc.
7. To design engine parts. Solidworks do it for you very easily. Because of its user-interface, it becomes very easy and time-saving than any other software.

CATIA V5

CATIA V5:-

1. This software is manufactured by Dassault systems.
2. This software can handle the full production of any product. Like if you want to make a full engine of a car, you need to design each part. Then you have to give it to the production unit. The Production unit needs to apply CAM Process upon it. This software will help you to generate G-Codes and M-codes of any CNC MILLING, CNC LATHE machine.
3. By the use of this software, we can generate G-Code and M-Codes. This is used in the manufacturing process.
4. The user-interface of this software is not so much user- friendly. The graphics are not so good as compared to Solidworks.
5. The main focus of this software is on AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRIES. So the working of the command is Useful to design any AERO-DYNAMIC structure.
6. The price is so higher than Solidworks.
7. The focus of this software is only upon AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRIES. So this can only be adopted by the big car industries.
